The Calculations and Coincidences exhibition, which originally opened in Istanbul, has been invited to Antalya.

The Calculations and Coincidences exhibition showcased the works of three pioneering Hungarian artists in algorithmic art—Dóra Maurer, Vera Molnár and Gizella Rákóczy—through pieces from the contemporary art collection of the Central Bank of Hungary. The exhibition was on view at the Pera Museum in Istanbul from 18th September 2024 to 26th January 2025.

The exhibition primarily focuses on Molnár’s main role, as she was undoubtedly one of the most significant figures in early computer art. At the same time, it also traces how Maurer’s and Rákóczy’s works expanded the boundaries of abstraction by incorporating algorithms and mathematics.

From 8th March the public can now view the works of Vera Molnár, Gizella Rákóczy, and Dóra Maurer at the Antalya Kültür Sanat exhibition space.
