A Milestone for the Collection: The Latest MNB Arts and Culture Exhibition Opens at Ludwig Museum – Museum of Contemporary Art
Since 2022, the MNB Arts and Culture division has been organizing exhibitions both in Hungary and internationally, from Veszprém to Miskolc, and from Seoul to New York.
The Calculations and Coincidences exhibition, which originally opened in Istanbul, has been invited to Antalya.
As part of the 2024 Hungarian–Turkish Cultural Season’s programme, this highly successful exhibition provided insight into the oeuvres of three female artists, curated by Dr Kinga Hamvai.

On the occasion of the press conference for the exhibition Between Spheres, MNB Arts and Culture made several announcements. The event’s roundtable discussion was moderated by Csaba Azurák, where journalists had the opportunity to ask questions of Kinga Hamvai, Head of MNB Arts and Culture, Krisztina Sikota, Deputy Director General of Tourism and Culture of the Várkapitányság, and Dr. Flóra Mészáros, the curator of the exhibition.

Curated by Dr Flóra Mészáros, the exhibition draws from the contemporary art collection established by the Central Bank of Hungary, focusing on the relationship between science and art.
The exhibition marking the 100th anniversary of the Central Bank of Hungary (MNB) and the Collegium Hungaricum in Vienna will be open to visitors until the end of February.
Organised as a collaboration between METU and MNB Arts and Culture, the exhibition was first displayed in the spring of 2024 at the METU Gallery in Budapest. Reopened in Austria on the 28th of November with an updated selection of artworks, the exhibition not only celebrates the intersection of design and art but also commemorates the centenary of the Central Bank of Hungary and the Collegium Hungaricum in Vienna.
