Miklós Hoffmann, a mathematician, gave guided tours at the Pera Museum in Istanbul.

Between January 20 and 26, mathematician Miklós Hoffmann gave three guided tours at the Pera Museum, focusing on the Calculations and Coincidences and À la recherche de Vera Molnar exhibitions.

Hoffmann prepared for these events, which attracted a large and engaged audience with the support of Begüm Akkoyunlu Ersöz, curator at the Pera Museum,.Visitors actively participated in discussions, contributing to a dynamic exchange of ideas. The overwhelmingly positive feedback highlighted the significance of the experience, both professionally and personally. One of the tours was also attended by the director of the Pera Museum, Özalp Birol.

Among the three exhibiting artists, Gizella Rákóczy was less familiar to many visitors, therefore additional emphasis was placed on her oeuvre during the tours. Hoffmann ensured a balanced approach to interpreting the artworks, thoughtfully integrating mathematical perspectives while preserving their artistic essence.

In 2024, Miklós Hoffmann was awarded the ARTtransfer Prize by the Ludwig Museum, which is given to museum educators, teachers, artists, art historians, and curators who play an outstanding role in promoting contemporary vart. As a lecturer at the Faculty of Informatics at Eszterházy Károly Catholic University, he received the recognition for his work Light – Machine – Being: Creative Partners or Tools?, which explores the relationship between computers, artificial intelligence, and contemporary art.

Due to high interest, the exhibition is extended until February 23, with additional events planned for visitors.
